Terms of Service

Sylvester Electric, Inc.

1. About these terms

These terms describe use of Sylvester Electric, Inc.’s website, service-request features and text messaging program.

Electrical work is governed by the estimate, work authorization or other service agreement accepted for that project. These website terms do not replace a signed agreement or override rights provided by applicable law. Project-specific terms control if they conflict with these general terms.

2. Website information and appointment requests

Website information is general and does not replace an on-site electrical assessment. Equipment suitability, installation requirements, pricing and availability depend on the property and proposed work.

Submitting a form or requesting an appointment does not, by itself, confirm an appointment, guarantee availability or authorize electrical work. Our team will confirm the appropriate next steps.

3. Estimates and diagnostic services

An estimate for planned installation work is different from diagnosing an existing electrical problem. Diagnostic visits, troubleshooting and other service appointments may involve charges even if additional repair work is declined.

Applicable fees will be disclosed before authorization. Website pricing examples are general information unless expressly offered as a binding price for a defined scope.

An approved estimate covers the work and materials described in that estimate. Additional work requires separate authorization and may change the price or schedule.

4. Existing conditions and changes in scope

Electrical work may reveal concealed wiring, damaged equipment, code issues, inadequate capacity or other conditions that were not reasonably identifiable before work began.

When such conditions affect the proposed work, we will explain the findings and any recommended change in scope. Approval will be requested before additional chargeable work is performed. Work may need to pause when conditions are unsafe or required approvals are unavailable.

A limited repair or installation is not a certification of the entire property’s electrical system unless a broader inspection is expressly included in the agreed scope.

5. Scheduling and access

Appointment and completion estimates may be affected by weather, equipment availability, utility coordination, permits, inspections, site conditions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will communicate material scheduling changes.

Customers must arrange authorized access to the work area, secure pets and disclose known hazards relevant to the work. Unsafe conditions or unavailable access may require rescheduling. Any associated charge must be disclosed and agreed to where required by law.

6. Service terms and conditions

Payment: Payment is due upon receipt unless other payment terms have been agreed to in writing. Any deposit or payment schedule stated in the accepted estimate or service agreement applies to that project.

Parts and labor warranty: Sylvester Electric provides a one-year warranty on parts and labor for the work we supply and perform. Project-specific warranty details are stated in the accepted estimate or service agreement. Manufacturer warranties may provide additional coverage. This warranty does not limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Utility fees and costs: Utility company fees and costs are not included unless expressly listed in the accepted estimate. Any applicable additional costs will be disclosed and authorized before they are incurred on the customer’s behalf.

Financing: Financing is subject to the financing company’s approval and terms. Applicable interest, fees and other financing costs will be disclosed in the financing documents before acceptance. Any financing-related charge collected by Sylvester Electric must be disclosed, agreed to and permitted by applicable law and the financing provider’s rules.

Late or delinquent payment: Sylvester Electric reserves the right to seek interest and reasonable attorney fees for late or delinquent payment only to the extent authorized by the accepted agreement and permitted by applicable law.

Cancellations and rescheduling: Please contact our office promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any cancellation charge, special-order obligation or other fee must be disclosed and agreed to where required by law.

7. Safe use of website information

Do not rely on website content as instructions to perform electrical work. Electrical systems can cause serious injury, fire or property damage.

Website forms, email and text messages are not monitored emergency-response channels. For a fire, immediate danger or medical emergency, call 911. Contact the utility company when appropriate for a utility emergency. Do not wait for a response through our website.

8. Text messaging terms

Sylvester Electric may send text messages to individuals who have provided appropriate consent. Messages may include responses to inquiries, appointment confirmations and reminders, estimate follow-ups, service updates and other communications within the scope of that consent.

Promotional texts require appropriate marketing consent. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply based on your wireless plan.

Reply STOP to opt out of the messaging program. You may receive a final confirmation of your opt-out request. To receive messages again, provide a new opt-in through the applicable enrollment process.

Reply HELP for assistance or call 978-957-3422. Notify us if your number changes or is reassigned. Only provide a number you own or are authorized to use.

Text delivery is not guaranteed. Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not use text messaging for emergencies.

Personal information and SMS consent records are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Website ownership and permitted use

Website branding, text, photographs and other materials belong to Sylvester Electric or their respective owners. Commercial reproduction or use requires appropriate permission.

Do not misuse the website, submit fraudulent requests, impersonate another person, interfere with operation or attempt unauthorized access.

Third-party booking, payment and other services have their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Website availability and limitations

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and available, but errors and interruptions may occur. The website is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, Sylvester Electric is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from use of, or inability to use, this website.

This limitation does not limit responsibility for electrical work under an applicable service agreement, exclude liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or waive consumer rights or other liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Questions, changes and applicable rights

Please contact our office promptly with questions or concerns so we can review them.

We may revise these website terms prospectively by posting an updated version on this page. Updates do not retroactively change an existing accepted service agreement.

Nothing in these terms requires customers to waive mandatory rights under applicable Massachusetts, New Hampshire or federal law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
